You will visit the heartland of Sri Lanka’s colonial history when you visit the cities of Colombo and Galle. The Portuguese, Dutch and the British have left their imprinted their culture in the buildings and monuments which are richly evident in these 2 cities. Spend a day exploring each city and be enriched with his culture which has rounded off the county’s proud heritage.

Morning – engage in a city tour of the commercial capital of Sri Lanka.
There are many locations relating to the Portuguese, Dutch and British colonial times. The Fort area with its majestic Victorian-styled buildings, , the Old Dutch Hospital (shopping complex), Colombo Museum, Vihara Maha Devi Park, Old Parliament, World Trade Center, National Art Gallery. Folk Art Center- Kotte, Natural History Museum, BMICH, Municipal Museum, Fort Railway Station dates back to 1904, and the Wolfendhal Church (the oldest surviving church in Sri Lanka) are the main colonial tourist attractions in Colombo.
Morning do a walking tour of the Dutch Fortress, scaling the many historical sites and attractions of the ancient colonial fort. You will be able to see the many bastions and the guise will relate the historical significance of each of them. You will also visit the Groot Kirk (the oldest surviving the church in the fort), the lighthouse and the maritime museum and travel along the maze of streets and do some shopping at the Peddlar’s Street before having your lunch either at your hotel or in one of the many chic restaurants inside the fort.
Late afternoon, you will return to Colombo via the Southern Expressway.
